“Don’t Hit My Brother!”

Private Elementary School Photo Bethesda MD 4

Malia: I know you can’t talk but I wanted you to know there was a fight at daycare. On the way to pick the kids up.

MJ: Did Cash slug the bully kid?

Malia: No. Liz got in a fight.

MJ: Bull shit! She would never start a fight!

Malia: She didn’t start it. Allegedly, “the bully kid” shoved Cash because one of the other kids wanted to be friends with Cash and not him.

MJ: “Allegedly.” Spoken someone who has been through the insanity of the legal system. You said Liz got in a fight. Did you mean Cash?

Malia: The alleged bully shoved Cash from behind and he fell to the ground. Liz said something like “Don’t hit my brother!”, and she hit the bully in the face with a book. I think they said a book. I will find out the details when we get there.

MJ: Did the alleged bully hit her back?

Malia: Nope! Liz laid him out.

MJ: Are Liz and Cash ok?

Malia: They are fine. Cash and Liz high fived each other and went back to playing. The teacher collected them up and took them to the principal’s office.

MJ: Between you and me, that is awesome! Liz and Cash have told us how that kid bullies everyone. I know violence isn’t the answer, but……

Malia: I am torn to. Violence is not the answer, but yeah.

MJ: Let me know what happens after. I love you.

Malia: I love you to.

Malia: Good news! Liz apologized to the bully kid and asked him if he wanted to play together and be nice. He said yes and they were playing before I got there. The alleged bully kids’ mom was nice. I met her as well. We talked for a while. All is well.

MJ: Thank you for letting me know babe. When it ends in being friends, it’s a good thing.

Malia: They resolved the situation themselves as little people. I am proud of their little people problem solving situation. 🙂

MJ: Well said baby. All in all, it sounds like everything will be ok. Everybody learned a lesson and are better off for it. Baring the unforeseen, I should be home in time for dinner. I love you baby cakes.

Malia: Well said you to. We miss you daddy. See you tonight and love you bye for now.
