Prospects/customers/clients like to know they are not just a number to you. They are a customer with individual needs and individual tastes. Take the time on an order to write a personalized note to go with the order the customer purchased. You wont believe what a hand written note to a customer can do. I have seen this simple yet effective sales tactic can accomplish.

The more personal the message the bigger the response you can expect. Little things lead to big things. Try it. You wont regret it. Anytime you get a chance to make a customer feel special do it. Special experiences make customers for life. It makes them feel like they mean something. Customers respond very well to positive praise and attention.

This example might help reinforce my point. Most plane flights are the same but not if you fly to Hawaii. What makes a flight to Hawaii special? Well they lay you right after you get off of the plane. Don’t get the wrong idea here. These lovely Hawaiian gals take a necklace of flowers and put them on each person who gets off the plane. The necklace is called a lay. Now does it make sense what I mean by creating a special customer experience? You don’t have to lay them but come up with your own great customer experience idea based on your industry. Come on get creative y’all. I know you can. Shock and awe is the little extra. That little extra that the average company laughs at. Well, let them laugh while you are cashing enormous checks. Would you rather be average or massively paid?
