A conference call I was supposed to be on at 4pm in the afternoon on Wednesday, got pushed to 7pm that day. The only problem was, 7pm conflicted with another more important call that I had.
So which did I pick? The business conference call, or the other call, the call I had scheduled with CJ, that was scheduled for 7pm? Approximately 3 years ago, in February of 2015, I experienced an event that changed my life forever.
Before that event, all things being equal, I may have picked the business conference call, and tried to reschedule the call with CJ. Not because I thought the business conference call was more important, but because I didn’t understand how precious/limited of a resource time really was/is. After the event that happened in February 2015, unless there is some sort of eminent emergency, I would pick the call with CJ/Christian 100% of the time.
I believe life teaches us lessons, that if we learn from them, will enrich our lives significantly more. If we don’t learn from the lessons life teaches us, we will unfortunately be forced to repeat the lessons until we do learn them.
CJ, I may be referred to as “MJ The Terrible” from time to time, for reasons I know you don’t know/may not quite understand yet, but I promise I will be the best Dad I know how to be, and I will always make you #1 in my life.
