I love this vacation picture. I loved hopping on each other, while we were island hopping.
On this vacation I paid the band at the hula bar to play a song for Malia.
The song was “Ring of Fire”, an old Johnny Cash song. The band didn’t know the words to the song, and they kept singing- “Because you’re mine, ring of fire.”
We laughed, and I remember exactly what you said when you whispered in my ear during the song…….”Because you’re mine, ring of fire. Somehow that still makes sense. Please be mine forever.”
And I whispered back- “We may not be officially married yet, but I made the decision along time ago that we were till death does us part.”
Malia, that night, that vacation, was magical. I love you with every beat of my heart Malia May Johnson!
