During your sales career, what were the best awards and gifts and prizes that you got for raising all that money? Jeremy Foster Scottsdale, AZ
Answer: Hi Jeremy. Nice to digitally meet you. I hope that Drew is doing well. I haven’t heard from him in a while. If you talk to him, please tell him that I said hi. Someday we’ll have to have a big company reunion or something. It would be nice to see everyone from back in those days.
I was very fortunate in the world of sales. I had some incredible mentors along the way, starting even before I worked at the oil company. It made a big difference in my career.
I made two lists. A list of the gifts/prizes, and a list of awards/accomplishments. Both lists are numbered, but they aren’t in order of importance. They are just numbered.
Gifts/Prizes
1. I won either 4 or 5 cruises. We went all around the Caribbean, the Bahamas, through the Panama Canal, up and down both sides of Mexico’s coast lines. It was a lot of fun. Great memories.
2. A Cadillac Escalade.
3. A Cadillac CTS
4. GMT II Rolex timepiece.
5. Clippings of hair and autographs, from several former Presidents of the United States, and celebrities.
6. A money clip, that was given to me by a gone but not forgotten business mentor of mine, from the oil company, named Dan Denefe, who I was lucky enough to get to work with for 7 years.
Awards/Accomplishments
1. Youngest person ever to qualify for the Cadillac Club, for Sales Excellence
2. Youngest Senior Vice President in company history
3. All time company leader in individual sales revenue
4. All time company leader in team sales revenue
5. Built the most successful web business that any company in the oil & gas jv industry had seen at that point in time
It was a lot of hard work, but I also had a lot of fun. It was always interesting. Never a dull moment in those days. That’s for sure.
