It was 5 years ago today that I had a subdural hematoma rupture in my head and I almost died.
I had to learn to walk and talk again, and you my love, are the one who loved me enough to nurse me back to health.
When I was ready to give up, and I was begging you and others to help end my life(Don’t judge me until you have walked a mile in my shoes!), you were always right there by my side.
At that time (February 14th, 2015) just about everyone thought that I was going to end up in Guantanamo Bay for allegedly being the chief architect of the Stuxnet computer virus.
I was being treated like I was a lepper by everyone, including people I thought were my friends, and even some of my own family members turned their backs on me, but not you Malia.
When the going got tough, you were right there with me every step of the way. You were and are my rock Malia May Johnson!
Malia, for nursing me back to health after my subdural hematoma rupture and so much more, you have my heart, my love, and all of me, lock stock and barrel forever!
Important note: Besides the love you feel from your kids, if you want to know what true/real unconditional love feels like, when all of the cards are on the table, and you have the worst set of cards, and it looks like you are about to go down in flames, someone who truly loves you unconditionally will hold on to you tighter than ever and be willing to go down in flames right along with you.
That said, when you see that someone is willing to hold on to you tighter than ever, and go down in flames right along with you, magic happens!
When I saw that Malia was willing to go down in flames right along with me, I felt at that moment an overwhelming sense of kick ass we aren’t going down in flames come back power that I had never really felt before, and from there I knew we were going to make a comeback, I just didn’t know exactly how yet.
