Everyone keeps asking us what we are doing for Thanksgiving.
Well, we are still in McLean, Virginia until the authorities are able to catch a certain group of bad guys, related to a project I just finished working on.
And we may not be able to leave the “Military Installation Resort” as we have started calling it, but we are really enjoying our time together as a family.
I miss my son and our family and friends, but this forced family vacation we are on at the moment has been really good for us.
I love all getting to spend quality time with our kids, and I love all of the adult “quality time” Malia and I get to have.
I was angry at first that we were not allowed to leave when I was finished working on the project I was working on, but as I had more time to think about it, it hit me that I get to spend some much needed time with my family, that I probably wouldn’t get to do if we weren’t quarantined here together.
We heard the “Let it snow” song on the radio this morning and we changed the lyrics to fit our current situation. “Since we’re not allowed to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.”
Happy Thanksgiving One and All from Our Family to yours!
Sincerely,
The Johnson 8+1(We love you too big guy!)
