“Massah” by Marcus Jennings

"Massah" Police Gestapo Photo Post

Recently there was a crazy situation involving the police that was/is a complete misunderstanding assuming that all parties are being honest anyway, and I wrote a funny remake of the song “Wade in the Water”, by Ramsey Lewis, a song famously sung by Harriet Tubman, when she helped slaves make it north to freedom through the Underground Railroad.

I would like to dedicate this song to my boy Chris Hubbard. Much love from your black brother from another mother.

“Massah” by Marcus Jennings

Massah here to serve a warrant. Not gonna let you ignore it.

Open up for Massah. Or it’s gonna be a disaster.

If you don’t open up the gate, Massah cut lock and invade.

Massah put you in cuffs. Tell you to shut the fuck up.

Wait on the curb. Massah here to harass and disturb.

Massah tell neighbor get the fuck back across the street, or he gonna get his ass beat.

Now wait on the couch. Massah gonna search your house.

Massah don’t wear a body cam, because the warrant was a scam.

Massah use your power for justice, don’t use your power on just us.

The law say Massah supposed to seek justice, but Massah only wanna bust us.

Massah not gonna be happy, until he make our life crappy.

Massah it’s not to late, to do the right thing and set the record straight.

Massah it’s up to you, to fix the wrong and find the truth.
