My 6-year-old son CJ and I’s bed time conversation last night-
Daddy: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
CJ: I would go to Paradise City.
Daddy: Ok, where is that?
CJ: I don’t know.
Side note- I asked him probably 6-8 more questions about it, and he finally said- “Let me sing it to you”.
And here were his exact words…..
“Take me down to paradise city, where the girls are green and the grass is pretty.”
Daddy: That is hilarious! I love you. I swear you’re the cutest thing on earth. The song says- Take me down to paradise city, where the grass is green and the girls are pretty.
CJ: Well I like Gamora, and Gamora is green.
Daddy: So, you knew the right words and changed them to match the green girl Gamora, that you have a crush on?
CJ: Yeah.
Daddy: I’m impressed! Are you going to grow up and marry Gamora?
CJ: Yeah.
Daddy: But she’s green!
CJ: Daddy, you always say people’s skin color doesn’t matter. That is Gomora’s skin color.
Daddy: You’re right little buddy. If you fall in love and marry Gamora someday, as long as she treats you good, and you’re happy, I will support it.
He knows Gomora’s not real, but his creativity and debating skills put me in my place last night, and it was fun moment.
